About the Role
A Staff Attorney on the Legal team at Neighborly supports the brands, departments, and corporate locations of Neighborly. You will perform legal matters as designated by your supervising attorney, gaining experience in various areas of the law including franchise law, intellectual property law, contract law, employment law, litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
Responsibilities
- Perform legal matters as designated by your supervising attorney to support the brands, departments, and corporate locations of Neighborly.
- Gain the legal experience, knowledge, and expertise to support Neighborly on a day-to-day basis, in various areas of the law to include, but not limited to franchise law, intellectual property law, contract law, employment law, litigation, arbitration, mediation, and so much more.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, NDAs, service agreements, and licensing arrangements.
- Support corporate governance activities, including entity formation, maintenance, and dissolution, preparation of resolutions, minutes, and governance documentation.
- Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and communicate implications to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience: Open to new graduates. This position is designed for a recent law school graduate looking to gain experience and grow with the company.
- Skills: Outstanding work ethic. Strong analytical skills. Highly organized and detail oriented. Proactive, innovative, and creative problem solver. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is required.
