Staff Attorney
About the role
Burr & Forman has an immediate opening in their Chicago, IL office for an experienced Staff Attorney within their Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy group. This position requires a J.D. degree and membership in the Illinois State Bar. The Staff Attorney will manage a growing, high-volume caseload of commercial foreclosure matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage a growing, high-volume caseload of commercial foreclosure matters
- Take ownership of a substantial docket
- Play a key role in the continued growth of an established and rapidly expanding client relationship
- Handle commercial and/or residential foreclosure matters
- Possess experience handling commercial and/or residential foreclosure matters
- Show strong research, writing, organization, and analytical skills
- Be qualified to practice law in Illinois
- Qualifications to practice law in other states (District of Columbia, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and/or Wisconsin) are preferred but not required
Requirements
- A J.D. degree
