Staff Attack Engineer, Internal/AD

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Attack Engineer, Internal/AD to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will serve as a technical lead focused on internal-network and Active Directory attack capabilities that help validate and improve modern enterprise defenses. You will research emerging tradecraft and turn it into production-ready attack content, with a strong emphasis on hardened environments and practical offensive testing. The position also partners closely with engineering and threat intelligence to expand attack-path modeling and prioritize coverage that reflects real customer environments. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $247,000 – $275,000 annually Responsibilities Serve as the technical lead for internal-network and Active Directory attack capabilities Research and translate emerging AD tradecraft into production attack content Design and maintain production-grade Python powering attack capabilities Build attacks suitable for modern, hardened environments Configure and exploit AD test environments for validation and testing Extend attack-path modeling to represent new privilege escalation paths Prioritize coverage roadmap based on customer environments and threat intelligence Qualifications Deep, hands-on offensive experience against Active Directory and internal enterprise networks Command of current AD tradecraft, including credential access and lateral movement Demonstrated experience with modern, hardened environments Strong software engineering fundamentals with expert-level Python Ability to independently research unfamiliar systems and become a team's expert A track record of technical leadership and mentoring Strong written and verbal communication skills Benefits Inclusive company culture promoting diversity Numerous career development opportunities Collaborative environment encouraging creativity Flexible remote and hybrid work options Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance for employees and families Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
