Responsibilities

  • Answering phones and maintaining office voicemail
  • Greeting office visitors
  • Assisting people who have appointments with the Senator or other staff members
  • Answering constituent requests for general information and ensuring that requests for assistance are directed to the appropriate staff member
  • Drafting daily summary of constituent input
  • Monitoring delivery and pickup of materials and sorting incoming mail
  • Maintaining front office (e.g., watering plants, ensuring magazines are up-to-date, maintaining office guest book, etc.)
  • Assisting with various administrative duties
  • The ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment

Requirements

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and highly-motivated individual
  • Excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills
  • Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus
  • Experience with Internet Quorum is a plus
