Responsibilities
- Lead the development of BESS products from concept through launch
- Translate product concepts into system requirements and executable plans
- Own system architecture and integration across various BESS elements
- Drive technical tradeoff studies balancing performance and cost
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product launch readiness
- Guide designs through development gates with strong technical rigor
- Identify technical risks, develop mitigation plans, and lead resolutions
Qualifications
- 7+ years of product engineering experience in battery energy storage systems or related electrified products
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Strong understanding of BESS subsystems including thermal management, power conversion, and battery management systems
- Proven ability to mentor and develop technical talent
- Demonstrated success in executing system-level technical strategies
- Strong communication skills for complex technical topics and decision-making
- Data-driven decision-making based on first principles
