Staff Applications Engineer
Job Summary & Responsibilities
Become a Subject Matter Expert on Onto Innovation’s Inspection products.
Support customer applications development activities that require full understanding of the system set-up, inspection of customer’s product, confirmation of optimal and accurate results, and presentation of results.
Work closely with internal and external customers to understand their requirements and challenges and ensure that Onto Innovation's systems are configured and utilized optimally.
Provide support and applications training to customers as well as various internal functional groups to ensure systems are being used effectively.
Develop system requirements that meet customer requirements and product definitions provided by other departments.
Assist in developing and executing system level test plans to validate that the engineering designs meet customer requirements.
Compile and assist in the presentation of test data collected during design validations to a peer group of engineers.
Qualifications
- 5+ Years of experience in related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Able to gather and analyze data and then create clear reports and presentations
- Able to identify and troubleshoot potential hardware or software performance issues
- Able to efficiently gain expertise on products in a fast-paced environment
- Good organization and planning skills
Pay
Base Salary Range: $144,000.00 - $216,000.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
