Staff Android Engineer (Clients Platform)

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the architecture of the company’s Android app to accommodate future growth
• Design and improve developer tools and workflows for effective code development and releases
• Establish guardrails through linting and automated tests to preemptively catch coding issues
• Develop and improve app observability and client health systems, including monitoring dashboards
• Leverage AI to refine engineering processes, driving efficiency in code reviews and analysis
• Mentor and guide Android engineers on design practices, documentation, and platform usage

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 4 years in Android app design/development
• Experience managing a large codebase for software serving over 100 engineers and millions of daily active users
• Proficiency in modern Android development tools and practices, specifically Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Coroutines
• Strong understanding of Android platform infrastructure, including shared libraries and core technologies
• Experience effectively applying AI technologies within engineering workflows

Pay

$217,000 – $303,900 annually
