Role Summary

The Staff Air Quality Consultant will support air permitting and environmental compliance projects while gaining hands-on experience across industrial and commercial facilities. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to develop technical skills, work alongside experienced consultants, and build a strong foundation in environmental consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Support air quality and environmental compliance projects across office and field settings
  • Aid with emissions calculations, data analysis, and technical reporting
  • Review and interpret environmental regulations and apply them to client operations
  • Conduct site visits including sampling and field data collection when needed
  • Support preparation of permit applications and regulatory submittals
  • Collaborate with senior staff on client communication and agency coordination
  • Aid in preparing reports, proposals, and other project deliverables
  • Help maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and professionalism
  • Support business development and marketing efforts as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (consulting, regulatory, or field-based work)
  • Basic understanding of air quality regulations and environmental compliance concepts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to conduct occasional field work and site visits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to air emissions calculations or permitting work
  • Internship or consulting experience within environmental services
  • Interest in industrial or manufacturing operations
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a consulting environment
