Staff Accountant II

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail-driven, and collaborative Staff Accountant II to join our finance team. This role will split time between our Rutherford, New Jersey office (2 days) and working remote (3 days).

Responsibilities

• Participate in the monthly closing and reconciliation process along with other members of our finance team
• Preparation of daily cash reports
• Handle chargeback cases through thorough research, timely responses, and accurate system updates
• Liaise with our general accounting, order management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare analysis for print production and events expense to determine proper month-end accruals
• Analysis of revenue and expense accounts
• Bank reconciliations
• Management of full account analysis files for manager review
• Assist with the yearly financial statement audit by preparing audit schedules and providing requested supporting documentation
• Assist accounts payable and receivable when necessary

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or another related field
• 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a series of internships
• Solid experience with the NetSuite ERP system and Concur
• Excellent Excel knowledge, specifically with pivot tables and V Lookups
• Ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently
• Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving through research and solution development
• Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities for professional growth
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail with a proactive approach
• Strong ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
• Willingness to contribute to day-to-day administrative tasks that support team efficiency and success

Pay

The annual base salary range for this role is $70,000-$72,000.
