Staff Accountant - Full-Time

About the role

Belmont Behavioral Health System is a premiere provider of comprehensive treatment for mental health conditions and substance abuse problems. With over 75 years of operation, Belmont offers high-quality specialized programming for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults facing psychiatric concerns and chemical dependency. The organization currently has a full-time Staff Accountant opening responsible for coordinating and supporting accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities within the facility.
• Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, update data in UltiPro, and ensure confidential handling of sensitive information (including employees’ hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, and other information).
• Review payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Review weekly/bi-weekly doctor productivity pay documents.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Prepare and maintain weekly FTE report.
• Prepare required financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as required.
• Ensure the financial records are accurate and filed timely.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• Two years’ accounting experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
