Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the financial integrity, accuracy, and control of NORAM (U.S. and Canada) financial statements through execution and oversight of general ledger accounting and close activities within the finance layer. This role operates as a critical control point between business operations and FSSC execution, safeguarding compliance, consistency, and quality of financial outcomes. The Accountant – Services partners closely with the services team, project management organization, and cross-functional finance stakeholders to support a best-in-class Finance-Services function.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own and review month-end close activities
- Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations
- Cook up processes for external contractor cost tracking and recognition
- Review revenue and cost accrual entries
- Ensure balance sheet integrity and resolve aged items
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and mismatches
- Support audits and ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP
- Perform financial analysis and variance reviews
- Partner with stakeholders and resolve issues
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred)
- Experience: 2–5 years in R2R/GL accounting, month-end close, audit support
- Technical: IFRS (required), US GAAP (preferred), ERP systems, advanced Excel
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills
- Organizational skills: Good prioritization and organizational skills
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Other: Must be reliable, possess a strong work ethic, and have a professional attitude; Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness; Ability to work independently and with a team; Familiarity with Revenue and Cost recognition preferred; Demonstrated experience using AI in a practical, applied way — such as improving workflows, automating tasks, enabling better decision-making, or increasing impact in prior roles.
Success Criteria
- Month-End Close Timeliness: Complete assigned close activities, journal entries, and deliverables in line with the agreed close calendar timelines
- Journal Entry Accuracy: Ensure journal entries are prepared and posted accurately, with minimal corrections or rework required
- Reconciliation Completion & Quality: Complete balance sheet reconciliations on time with clear support and minimal unreconciled differences
- Aged Balance Resolution: Proactively identify and reduce aged or unsupported balance sheet items over time
- Variance Analysis Quality: Deliver accurate and timely variance analysis with clear explanations and supporting data
- Compliance & Controls Adherence: Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies (IFRS/US GAAP), and audit requirements
- Intercompany Reconciliation Accuracy: Ensure timely resolution of intercompany differences and alignment with counterparties
- Continuous Improvement & Issue Resolution: Identify process issues, support automation efforts, and contribute to improving efficiency and data accuracy

Target compensation for this role
$60K - 70K USD (mix of base salary and bonus).
