Staff Accountant

Overview

PPL is seeking an accounting professional for a current opportunity within the Controller’s organization. This position may be filled at the Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant level depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Staff Accountant: Bachelor's degree with at least three accounting courses OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least one year of accounting-related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Senior Accountant: Bachelor's degree with at least three accounting courses and five years of accounting experience, OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of accounting-related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications by Level

Staff Accountant

• Bachelor's degree with at least three accounting courses OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least one year of accounting-related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Senior Accountant

• Bachelor's degree with at least three accounting courses and five years of accounting experience, OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of accounting-related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MBA, or other advanced business degree.
• 4+ years of accounting-related experience in utility accounting, public accounting, SEC reporting, and a working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements.
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Demonstrated ability to research technical accounting guidance.
• Experience with SAP.
