About the role
MedVet is the leading veterinarian-owned and led network of specialty and emergency hospitals, dedicated to delivering exceptional care and a deeply supportive experience to pets, their families, referring veterinarians, and team members. This hybrid role requires 3 days in our Worthington, OH office and 2 days working from home.
Main Accountabilities
- Timely and accurate calculation of revenue and payment of doctors
Responsibilities
- Calculate doctor’s compensation on different pay models
- Process doctor’s payroll on a monthly and semi-monthly basis
- Prepare payroll journal entries
- Prepare monthly revenue journal entries
- Perform monthly account reconciliations
- Compile compensation and revenue analysis reports
- Research fluctuations in revenue and payroll
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- Analyze revenue to payroll
- Maintain and review monthly doctor’s analysis report for leadership
- Assist with new hospital integrations
- Respond to doctor compensation inquiries
- Drive process improvement of doctor payroll process
- Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with up to 3 years of experience; graduates with relevant internships, projects, or training will be considered
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with complicated formulas and graphs
- Experience in the medical or veterinary industry is a plus
- Experience with Intacct is a plus

Pay
The posted range for this position is $55,000–$65,000, representing the expected starting base salary range for an employee new to the role to fully proficient. Many factors determine pay within this range, including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, and internal equity.
