Staff Accountant
About the role
The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and performs day-to-day accounting activities for Lincoln's administrative entities. This role contributes to the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and accrual schedules for admin cost centers and balance sheet accounts.
- Process and code AP invoices for admin entities, coordinate approvals, and assist with payment runs.
- Perform billing, collections, and cash application for assigned markets and revenue streams.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for monthly financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of variance analysis and financial reporting packages.
- Manage reimbursable employee allocation tracking and market cash reconciliations.
- Coordinate with Market Finance and other departments to obtain documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Support audit preparation and year-end close activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience; commercial real estate or professional services experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and basic multi-entity accounting principles.
- Experience with billing, AP, and collections processes preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting ERP systems; strong Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
