Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: Nashville, TN Metropolitan Area Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Compensation: $30-35/hour Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, and 401(k). We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a growing team. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and various accounting projects. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the organization. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliationsSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesPerform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepanciesPrepare journal entries and maintain appropriate supporting documentationProvide support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions as neededAssist with payment processing, deposits, credit card activity, and vendor inquiriesPrepare routine financial reports and assist with variance analysisSupport audit requests by preparing schedules and supporting documentationMaintain accurate and organized financial recordsPartner with internal teams to research and resolve accounting discrepanciesIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and proceduresAssist with other accounting projects and responsibilities as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred3+ years of relevant accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingProficiency with Microsoft ExcelExperience with an ERP or accounting system; experience with systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively across departments Why Consider This Opportunity?
