About the role

The Waterways Reconstruction Office Hannover is seeking an unqualified State Technician (State Qualified Technician) in the field of civil engineering on an unlimited basis. The position is based in Hannover.

Responsibilities

  • Work in project phases of planning, tendering, and construction execution of waterways and hydraulic structures.
  • Create performance schedules.
  • Review invoices and measurements.
  • Participate in site supervision.

Requirements

  • A completed qualification as a state qualified technician in the field of civil engineering.
  • Fluent in written and spoken German (C1 level according to GER).
  • Knowledge of hydraulic engineering.
  • Experience with AVA software, such as iTWO for creating planning and award documents.
  • Experience with accounting.
  • Experience using common MS Office applications.
  • CAD experience.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to act independently and responsibly.
  • Driver's license Class B.
  • Willingness to drive official vehicles.
  • Willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate group for salary employees will be assigned based on personal circumstances within the Entgeltgruppe 9a TVöD Bund.
  • Tariff employees of the Federal Government are informed that the post during probation will only be temporarily transferred and during the probation period no higher grading will take place, but if the prerequisites are met, a bonus after 14 Abs. 3 TVöD will be paid.
