St George Hospital - Speech Pathologist

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Speech Pathologist looking to develop broad clinical skills within a leading tertiary referral hospital. You will receive strong clinical support, supervision and professional development while working as a part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.
• Proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery.
• Exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience.
• Use computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems.
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

• Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and Speech Pathology Australia.
• Demonstrated core competency skills in managing patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and exercise independent professional judgement.
• Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
• Demonstrated commitment to a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

Pay

$76,364 - $108,943 per annum plus Superannuation

Schedule

38 hours per week
