The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality nursing care to patients/clients of St George Hospital and Health Service, consistent with SESLHD and St George Hospital policies, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centred nursing care in the Trauma and Neurosurgery specialty.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, applying professional and ethical boundaries in complex situations.
• Proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence.
• Apply risk management, safety, and quality principles in alignment with the role of the Registered Nurse.
• Use health information systems and basic computer skills to support care delivery.

Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others.
• Recent post-registration acute care experience in a tertiary facility within the specialty.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety, and quality principles.

Pay

$41.23 – $57.88 per hour plus superannuation.
