SSC Electrician

Description: SUPERVISION RECEIVED: This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: This position does not supervise others. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:Performing electrical work and preventative maintenance on all machines and equipment Repairing cranes, starters, conveyer belts, single phase and three phase motors, and any other pieces of equipmentInstalling breakers, light fixtures, wiring, outlets, and other electrical equipment based on technical blueprints and job ordersDocumenting all work completed and materials usedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:2 – 3 years of electrical experienceUnderstanding and ability to adhere to safety proceduresAbility to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documentsAbility to troubleshoot electrical problems on equipment, and change contact tipsAbility to use meters, wrenches and sockets, basic hand tools, hydraulic and pneumatic hand toolsAbility to withstand heights for working on cranesAbility to drive a forkliftPreferred: Ability to operate liftsPHYSICAL DEMANDS: BendingKneelingClimbingSquattingAbility to lift up to 75 poundsAbility to stand for the entire duration of the shiftWORK ENVIRONMENT:Not climate-controlledFoundry environment Requirements: Compensation details: 25-27 Hourly Wage
