What You Will Do
Affords patients (and parents/guardians), staff, and physicians support to enhance operational efficiency and customer service while delivering high-quality care to the designated pediatric patient population. Assists with tasks such as physical assistance, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring timely communication.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of LVN/LPN program.
- California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians - REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
- 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area.
- Pediatric LVN experience preferred.
- Ambulatory care experience.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED

Essential Functions
- Customer Service: Smiles, uses warm and professional tone of voice, introduces self using first name and role/title, wears name badge, provides physical assistance, maintains patient comfort, keeps PSR informed, refrains from discussing personal issues, adheres to confidentiality policies, and follows telephone etiquette.
- Department Efficiency and Effectiveness: Monitors patient flow, completes daily tasks, prioritizes responsibilities, maintains supply levels, participates in clinical projects, and completes department inventories.
- Human Resource Management: Provides staff training, serves as preceptor, acts as a team player, gives and receives feedback, attends/participates in departmental/unit activities, and assists with clinical projects.
- Nursing Competencies: Successfully completes Nursing Competencies with a score of 90% or greater in each section.
- Quality Initiatives: Completes quality assurance assignments and ensures overall department compliance with requirements.
- Technical Skills: Uses universal precautions, demonstrates knowledge of infection control policies and procedures, performs nursing tasks, partners with physicians, and maintains knowledge of pediatric vaccine schedules.
- Patient/Guardian Education: Provides education on topics such as child development, asthma, autism, breastfeeding, healthy eating, medication equipment, and newborn screenings.
- Referral Entry: Utilizes SRS portal and related applications to enter referrals for services and/or supplies not provided in clinic.
Qualifications
- Successfully completed LVN/LPN program.
- California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare).
- 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area.
- Pediatric LVN experience preferred.
- Ambulatory care experience.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Pay
$30.370 - $37.950 - $42.510
Schedule
Shift Start Time: 8 AM
Shift End Time: 5 PM
AWS Hours Requirement: 8/40 - 8 Hour Shift
Additional Shift Information: shift start and end times can vary up to two hours before or after based on department needs
Weekend Requirements: No
On-Call Required: No
