About the role
CGI Federal is seeking a Senior Windows Administrator to support a program for the Army's PL ALTESS contract. The position is based in Radford, VA.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support servers for a mixed customer environment.
- Plan, execute, and implement new system hardware and software.
- Create and maintain team technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies.
- Maintain and monitor system performance, network operations, and server hardening.
- Recommend improvements to the enterprise and manage new software/hardware integrations.
- Provide support for the lifecycle of a mixed environment of vendor equipment, including firmware version control and preventive maintenance.
- Implement technologies to expand, upgrade, and increase efficiency in the current environment.
Requirements
- CompTIA Security+ certification (waived for 30 days after project join date).
- Experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or Engineer with three or more years in automation using PowerShell.
- Five or more years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex applications and websites.
- Five or more years of experience managing complex networking solutions with fundamental knowledge in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and Active Directory structures.
- Five or more years of experience creating and maintaining complex MS Group Policy implementations.
- Five or more years of experience creating, maintaining, and following standard operating procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience.
- Three or more years of experience supporting cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA-V, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA).
