Who we are looking for...

We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) efforts across a wide range of land development projects. You will play a key role in shaping site design, guiding project strategy, and helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments.

Lead hydrologic and hydraulic design

  • Develop practical, buildable stormwater and flood mitigation solutions—not just theoretical models
  • Prepare and oversee H&H analyses using tools such as ICPR, HEC-RAS, and SWMM
  • Design and evaluate stormwater treatment systems to meet state and local regulatory requirements, including nutrient reduction and water quality criteria
  • Design stormwater treatment systems to meet FDEP, WMD, and local regulatory requirements
  • Build defensible models using real-world data, GIS inputs, and sound engineering judgment

Collaboration and support

  • Collaborate closely with civil/site teams to align grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting strategies
  • Serve as a technical leader and internal resource for water resources across multiple projects
  • Mentor junior staff and provide quality control on modeling and design deliverables

Translate complex H&H analyses

Translate complex H&H analyses into clear, actionable insights for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • PE license in Florida (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • 8+ years of experience in hydrologic/hydraulic engineering within land development or related fields
  • Proven track record of projects that have been permitted and constructed
  • Strong experience with ICPR and BMPTrains (HEC-RAS, SWMM a plus)
  • Experience with FEMA permitting and floodplain coordination (preferred)
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS for data development and model inputs
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D (preferred, not required)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

What You'll Need To Be Successful...

  • Ability to collaborate with local, state, and federal review agencies
  • Strong critical thinking and judgment to evaluate solutions and make decisions
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
