Responsibilities
- Takes a two-day 16-hour course provided by an external vendor to learn training and certification requirements for PIT equipment.
- Provides training in individual or group settings to new hires along with tenured associates (i.e., PIT walk-throughs/sign-off, manual picking, conveyance operation, compliance training, new employee onboarding, cross training, quality training).
- Helps create landmarks to be achieved through training content and creates training plans.
- Implements New Employee Onboarding Program to all employees across all roles inside the warehouse, including leadership roles.
- Implements PIT standards and trainings.
- Coaches, counsels, and inspires employees to not only meet but exceed required production goals.
- Drives engagement with each employee.
- Counsels employees on skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations, and changes in training policies and procedures.
- Utilizes Training Matrix Report to provide site leaders with data that supports employee's knowledge, employees' hours in a function, the number of employees with knowledge in a function, etc.
- Coordinates trainings and re-certifications in PIT and other areas across the warehouse, ensuring training is designed, delivered, and evaluated for consistency.
- Observes employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensures that any additional training requirements are fulfilled.
- Determines that trainees are aware of order accuracy procedures and conformity at each stage of the training.
- Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and Safety Manager.
- Functions as a general warehouse team member within the department and performs other duties as assigned when not training.
- Learns and trains on all functions within the warehouse.
- Travels as necessary based on needs of the business.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or some college preferred
- 2-4 years' experience, preferred
- Willingness to operate Power Industrial Trucks. Specifically Order Picker, Reach, Counterbalance, Center Rider.
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Good written communication skills
- Exhibits and practices positive communications and team building skills with trainees to ensure a consistently professional environment.

Pay and Benefits
- Anticipated hourly range: $21.97 per hour - $28.30 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential)
