Sr. Underwriter E&S Property

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex insurance risks by analyzing exposures and desired coverage
• Ensure submissions are profitable and meet underwriting standards
• Curate a portfolio with greater discretion than standard underwriters
• Identify market risk changes to optimize profitability
• Collaborate with management to achieve team production goals
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Execute business goals for new and renewal accounts through strategic quoting
• Build relationships with brokers through travel and events

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business, or related field preferred
• 5-8 years of relevant underwriting experience
• Professional certifications such as CPCU, AU, or similar designations preferred
• In-depth understanding of technical underwriting principles and risk assessment
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to manage and build broker and client relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Pay

$110,000 – $150,000 annually
