About the Role

Acrisure is seeking a Senior Claims Consultant with Transportation experience to serve as a strategic partner and risk advisor for clients and service teams. This role focuses on delivering high-level service and analyzing claims data to shape client policies and procedures, ultimately improving risk management. The position involves proactive collaboration to achieve organizational and team goals.

Responsibilities

• Function as a subject matter expert for claims management, risk clarity, and advisory services.
• Facilitate risk management policy changes for pre- and post-loss processes, including:
  • Pre-hire enhanced physical setup
  • Workers’ compensation and modified work policy review and creation
  • FMLA and WC compliance assistance
• Conduct face-to-face client claim reviews and quarterly strategy meetings.
• Design and implement claims-specific training as needed.
• Oversee claims processing, management, and prevention for clients.
• Act as a liaison between the insurance company and insured to respond to inquiries.
• Serve as a mediator in disagreements, providing follow-up for both the company and insured.
• Proactively advise Account Managers (AM), Account Executives (AE), and Client Advisors on claim statuses, with special attention to open files.
• Serve as the claims expert for service teams and clients through training initiatives and publications.
• Respond to customer inquiries via telephone and in-person visits in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold applicable laws at all times.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and clients.
• Correspond professionally with clients, prospects, and others.
• Utilize available resources such as Marketing Material, Employee Relations, Safety, Risk Management, and Process Improvement.

Requirements

• Willingness to participate in self-development or technical classes.
• Strong organizational and workflow management skills.
• Comfortable in an electronic environment with strong computer skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent people skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field of study, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in claims processing, analysis, or advisement (preferred).
• Large Transportation claims background is critical to success in this role.

Pay

The base compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Placement within the range will be based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
