Sr. Trade Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Sr. Trade Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze import/export documentation to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on trade compliance procedures and best practices.
• Monitor global trade trends and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory bodies as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in trade compliance or related field.
• Strong understanding of international trade laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and United Nations sanctions.
• Experience working with various government agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems is a plus.
