Sr. Trade Compliance Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Senior Trade Compliance Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for the daily execution and operational management of global import and export trade compliance activities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for trade compliance operational support across the organization and currently leads cross-border operations supporting movements between the United States and Mexico manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day import operations activities supporting international shipments into the United States, with primary operational responsibility currently focused on inbound truck shipments from Mexico manufacturing facilities.
  • Accurately classify products under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Canada HS, Mexico HS, TARIC and Schedule B; ensure consistency across global markets and support resolution of complex classification issues.
  • Own and maintain the global trade compliance parts database, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of HTS classifications, country of origin determinations, trade program eligibility, and other regulatory data elements required for import/export operations worldwide.
  • Perform regular audits of HTS classifications to ensure accuracy and maintain compliance with evolving regulations; proactively identify areas for correction or improvement.
  • Proactively monitor transactions and internal processes for compliance risks or violations; escalate potential red flags and procedural gaps to the Senior Customs and Trade Compliance Manager.
  • Support operational oversight of international import activities, including broker management, customs documentation review, shipment issue resolution, and trade compliance controls across multiple regions.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and audit-ready records of all trade compliance activities, documentation, and regulatory filings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field required.
  • 7–10 years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, or import/export execution.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing cross-border import/export operations, customs clearance processes, and broker relationships required.
  • Expert-level knowledge of HTS classification principles, General Rules of Interpretation (GRI), and country of origin determination methodologies.
  • Expertise in U.S. and international import/exports regulations and trade compliance standards.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated experience driving data accuracy and operational data integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex shipment, customs clearance, and documentation issues in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced-level Excel skills are required, including the ability to write complex formulas, perform data modeling, and implement reporting automations.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is a plus.
