Sr. Test & Validation Section Manager
About the role
The Test & Validation Section Manager position will report directly to a Manufacturing Engineering Department Manager. This role involves managing a team of test engineers who ensure product test integrity, improve test processes, and influence testability in product design.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize tasks to meet customer needs
- Cook up and manage team staffing levels
- Interface with strategic make center personnel and leaders
- Train, coach, mentor, and develop employee performance
- Ensure technical quality of engineering tasks, product compliance, and oversee team members' performance
- Develop and implement sustaining solutions to routine technical problems
- Lead troubleshooting of manufacturing and test systems
- Participate or lead functional or factory improvement projects
- Manage a group of 15 or more people, potentially across multiple factories and locations
- Support manufacturing activities and spend significant time on the factory floor in a dynamic environment
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required on day 1
- U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced degree in a related field with 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in leading people/teams
- The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance
- Strong experience supporting, maintaining, and improving test systems
- Experience with automated test equipment systems
Qualifications
- Experience with lean principles in a manufacturing and test environment
- Preferred majors: Electrical/Aerospace/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering Technology

Schedule
This position is expected to be full-time and located in the United States, specifically in Tucson, Arizona.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $132,400 - $251,600. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
