About the role
Senior Test Engineer (SDET) responsible for ensuring software quality through test automation, framework development, and leadership of QA efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance test frameworks and write automation scripts
- Utilize test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or comparable platforms
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
- Lead and manage QA teams and resources (2‑4 years experience preferred)
- Analyze requirements and understand basic application architecture
- Participate in full software development lifecycle and all major test cycles (unit, regression, functional, system, performance, volume, UAT)
- Produce clear documentation and bug reports with strong written communication
- Prioritize multiple tasks, stay organized, detail‑oriented, and responsive
- Work independently and collaboratively in team environments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, including substantial hands‑on work in quality engineering
Skills
- Deep understanding of microservice architectures and related technologies
- Strong programming ability in Java, Groovy, Python, or similar languages
- Demonstrated experience in REST API‑based testing
- Solid background in developing and enhancing test frameworks and writing automation scripts
- Experience with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, or comparable)
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and integrating automated tests into pipelines
- Exposure to AI‑driven testing solutions or using AI to enhance QA practices (desirable)
- Experience leading and managing QA teams and resources (2‑4 years) with strong organizational and leadership skills (plus)
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in requirements analysis and architecture understanding
- Well‑versed in entire SDLC and all major test cycles
- Superior written communication for clear documentation and bug reporting
- High degree of organization, attention to detail, responsiveness, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Self‑motivated, capable of working independently, and effective in collaborative team environments
