Sr Teller (Lynngate)

Starting rate: $21.00. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply.

About the role

Perform a variety of routine teller duties to include processing transactions, identifying basic potential financial needs, and making referrals to the platform area as appropriate. Act in a supervisory capacity behind the teller line as necessary.

• Process deposits to customer accounts; includes verification of cash, verification of endorsements, and providing customers with receipts
• Cash checks for customers and non-customers
• Process and properly record the sale of monetary instruments (i.e. official bank checks)
• Process foreign currency purchases and sales
• Redeem savings bonds
• Properly file all government-mandated reports related to large cash transactions and the sale of all monetary instruments
• Process various types of loan payments and credit card cash advances
• Assist with providing customers with access to safe deposit area
• Actively engage in the sales process by identifying potential financial needs for customers and non-customers and make appropriate referrals to platform staff
• Act in a supervisory capacity as necessary, using increased authority levels to review and approve certain transactions, particularly in the absence of the Teller Manager
• Assume Teller Manager-level responsibilities when necessary, such as functioning as the ATM custodian
• Other duties as required

Incumbent should adhere to defined policies and procedures but seek guidance from their immediate supervisor when written policy is unclear or there is uncertainty.

Requirements

• Outgoing with good customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter and technically literate
• Strong communication skills to exchange accurate information
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of teller experience preferred
• Some supervisory experience preferred

Working Conditions

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations without a break
• Must be able to transport items weighing 15 pounds or more
