Sr Teller - 37.5 Hours (Market Street)

About the role

Perform a variety of routine teller duties including processing transactions, identifying basic potential financial needs, and making referrals to the platform area as appropriate. Act in a supervisory capacity behind the teller line as necessary.

• Process deposits to customer accounts, including verification of cash, endorsements, and providing receipts
• Cash checks for customers and non-customers
• Process and record the sale of monetary instruments (e.g., official bank checks)
• Process foreign currency purchases and sales
• Redeem savings bonds
• File all government-mandated reports related to large cash transactions and monetary instrument sales
• Process various types of loan payments and credit card cash advances
• Assist customers with access to safe deposit areas
• Identify potential financial needs for customers and non-customers and make referrals to platform staff
• Act in a supervisory capacity, reviewing and approving certain transactions, particularly in the absence of the Teller Manager
• Assume Teller Manager-level responsibilities when necessary, such as functioning as the ATM custodian
• Perform other duties as required

Incumbent should adhere to defined policies and procedures and seek guidance from their immediate supervisor when policy is unclear or uncertainty exists.

Requirements

• Outgoing with strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with technical literacy
• Strong communication skills to convey information clearly
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of teller experience preferred
• Some supervisory experience preferred

Working Conditions

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for long durations without a break
• Ability to transport items weighing 15 pounds or more

Pay

Starting rate: $21.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply.
