Sr. Telecom Design Consultant (Microsoft)

Responsibilities
- Lead design and documentation of low voltage telecommunications systems for commercial and mission-critical facilities
- Create comprehensive telecom system models and coordination drawings using Revit software
- Interface with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality project delivery within established timelines
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior design staff
- Develop and review construction drawings, technical specifications, and project scope documentation
- Cook up telecom designs with other building disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
- Participate in client meetings, project coordination sessions, and site visits as required
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, code requirements, and emerging technologies
- Support business development activities and client relationship management
- Ensure all deliverables meet company quality standards and client expectations
Requirements
- 10 - 20 years of proven experience in telecommunications or low voltage systems design and consulting
- Extensive hands-on expertise with Revit software is mandatory - must demonstrate advanced proficiency
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, cabling systems, and industry standards
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interface effectively with clients and team members
- Strong organizational and project coordination abilities
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with construction document preparation and specification development
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices in telecommunications design
Nice-to-Haves
- Data center project experience is a significant advantage
- RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification is highly desirable
- Experience working in a consulting environment or similar fast-paced technical services firm
- Background with mission-critical facility design and infrastructure requirements
- Familiarity with other design software platforms and collaboration tools
- Previous experience mentoring or training junior technical staff
Pay & Benefits
Salary range: $100,000 - $170,000
