Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory space and laboratory equipment, including the purchase of lab consumables and tools and ensure safety of the laboratories.
- Work with contamination control engineering on incoming inspection of parts and cleaning and processing parts.
- Assist Engineering staff by assisting with coordinating labs with building facilities and staff to support maintenance, upgrades, equipment delivery, etc with all relevant parties.
- Build and test harnesses and boards, including NASA crimping and wiring, NASA soldering, NASA staking and conformal coating.
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Computer skills, e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Basic familiarity with SolidWorks, LabView or ability to be trained on basic technician functions of LabView and SolidWorks.
- Work with setup and usage of standard laboratory test equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to build engineering level cables, adaptors, assemblies and boards and perform engineering level soldering tasks.
- Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Familiarity with standard lab test equipment including: oscilloscopes, voltmeters and other measurement equipment to perform engineering support functions.
- Good communication skills and willing to work in a team environment.
