Sr Technician - PCC

Responsibilities

• Upgrades, configures, tests, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, including servers with an emphasis on a specific area of expertise.
• Installs operating systems and other applications.
• Technical support of other technicians.
• Uses their advance knowledge to help prepare other technicians to gain new knowledge so that they may perform their duties more efficiently.
• Helps to prepare technicians to achieve industry certifications.

Qualifications

• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux and Apple operating systems.
• Ability to read basic schematics.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must meet all vendor training and certification requirements within their specific area of expertise.
• Has a goal of maintaining the department quality numbers as well as maintaining a minimal level of backlog.
• Absorbs and applies new knowledge quickly.
• Increases the overall productivity of the department.
• Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication.
• Works independently is a very important part of this job.
• Detail oriented with item by item focus, meticulous attention to detail with ability to proofread for accuracy.
• CompTIA A+ certification; Advanced Industry certifications are preferred.
