About the role

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Sr Technician to join our integration business unit.

Responsibilities

• Install headend equipment, all field devices, and basic programming for a variety of Nurse Call, RTLS, Fire Alarm, and Security systems.
• Layout the system and install the cable, as well as testing connectors, labeling, and firestop.
• Ensure that the equipment provides the service requested by the customer, and that documentation and databases are updated.
• Coordinate and oversee contracted work with the contractor, providing specific instructions or help on projects, inspecting completed work for acceptance and compliance with Pavion standards, and ensuring that network documentation is updated.
• Analyze and layout blueprints, schematics, and drawings of Pavion systems to determine the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
• Provide technical expertise for installation, repair, and service.
• Inform Project Manager regarding procedures and status of work orders for decision-making, appropriate action, and compliance with company policies and building codes.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of Installers, ensuring projects are completed within local, state, federal codes, regulations, and specifications.
• Participate in approved job-related training and development programs, equipment training, and certification; operate equipment as needed.
• Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in excellent condition, ensuring availability of items required to complete installations or repairs.
• Respond to service calls during normal workday hours and after hours, addressing immediate safety concerns.
• Ensure safety procedures are always followed.
• Update and maintain documentation (Time Web, daily worksheets, and all other paperwork).
• Establish effective working relationships with those contacted during work, and communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines, working effectively with minimum supervision.
• Ensure quality control for assigned tasks.
• Clean up work area daily.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience or training on manufacturer systems installations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of hand tools, test/setup equipment, and company machinery; ability to train others in their use.
• Knowledge of electrical circuitry, network principles, NEC, and fire codes.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, programming, and installation guides.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients, management, and peers.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with Fire Alarm, security, and Nurse Call systems.
• Security or fire alarm certifications.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $25–45 per hour. Starting pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
