This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. The Sr. Technical Sourcing Recruiter plays a critical role in identifying, attracting, and securing exceptional technical leaders and key individual contributor technical candidates supporting roles that directly impact our most ambitious space vehicles programs.

About the Role

This is not transactional recruiting; it's strategic talent acquisition that requires deep market intelligence, sophisticated technical assessment capabilities, and the ability to influence technical leader-level decision-making. As a member of Blue Origin's technical recruiting capability, you will help establish the search standards, methodologies, and best practices that define excellence in technical talent acquisition for a pioneering aerospace company. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing market insights and talent strategy while managing high-stakes, confidential searches with precision and discretion.

The ideal candidate brings extensive technical recruitment experience, exceptional judgment in assessing technical talent, and the strategic acumen to position Blue Origin as the premier destination for industry-leading technical professionals who want to shape the future of space exploration.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Talent Acquisition: Create and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to identify, engage, and hire top technical talent. Conduct proactive market mapping and benchmarking to stay ahead of talent trends in key functional technical areas. Cultivate a pipeline of high-caliber candidates for critical technical roles.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive technical recruiting strategies aligned with business goals. Serve as mentor to technical recruiters, delivering personalized guidance on recruiting best practices while collaborating on career development plans and future recruitment strategies. Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the company's growth objectives and technical hiring needs. Deliver quarterly talent intelligence briefings that inform leadership decisions on organizational technical talent, competitive talent positioning, and emerging market trends impacting technical talent availability.
  • Search & Selection: Conduct in-depth interviews and thorough assessments of technical candidates to evaluate qualifications, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit. Apply advanced assessment tools and techniques to advise and guide hiring decisions. Present comprehensive candidate reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Executive Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to the Space Vehicles leadership team and hiring managers, providing thought leadership on all sourcing aspects of the technical talent recruitment process. Develop a deep understanding of the business strategy and organizational culture to align talent acquisition efforts with company goals. Offer strategic insights on market dynamics, competitor activity, and compensation trends.
  • Candidate Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with potential technical candidates, ensuring a positive and engaging recruiting experience. Lead the candidate experience from initial contact through interview. Orchestrate executive-level interactions including C-suite meetings, site visits, and strategic conversations that authentically showcase Blue Origin's mission and culture.
  • Process Excellence & Insights: Lead initiatives to continuously enhance the technical recruitment process for efficiency and effectiveness, incorporating standard methodologies and technology. Create and maintain metrics and reports to track the success and impact of technical talent recruiting efforts. Stay current on industry trends, emerging recruitment technologies, and best practices in technical talent searches.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in technical candidate attraction recruitment, with a successful track record of sourcing high-skilled technical candidates and technical recruitment searches.
  • Deep expertise in technical recruitment search methodologies, sophisticated assessment tools, and recruitment technologies.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and build trust with highly specialized technical candidates and Blue Origin leaders.

Qualifications

Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Pay

Compensation range for WA applicants is $134,434.00 - $188,207.25. Other site ranges may differ.

Background Check

  • Blue’s Standard Background Check (required for all positions)
  • Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check (required for certain job profiles if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation)
  • Additional requirements for drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification, Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable), and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical (required for certain job profiles)
