About the role

The Sr. Technical Program Mgr. for AWS Data Center Power Generation Infrastructure owns the successful delivery of the newest generations of data center energy innovations, and electrical power generation infrastructure technologies from concept to at-scale global implementation. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with advanced power infrastructure solutions and the exceptional people that develop them.

Key job responsibilities

• Own and drive first of a kind due diligence and development efforts across a range of power solutions across high voltage and medium voltage value chain
• Deliver large-scale critical generation, transmission, and distribution projects in partnership with our commercial energy and procurement teams globally under tight deadlines
• Perform due diligence on a variety of power generation solutions, partnering with internal and external teams to develop our technical strategy informing commercial deals
• Deliver technical design solutions to facilitate data center electrical interconnection and maximize safety, availability, frugality, and efficiency of the design solution
• Support "net-new" power generation programs
• Perform overall project management activities, ensuring excellent customer communication as the single-threaded owner for the execution of due diligence engagements and resolution of complex technical issues with internal and external partners
• Exercise high judgement in enabling power generation and transmission projects for mission critical load
• Own end-to-end due diligence reviews, including contract and financial model reviews, and synthesis of inputs from technical disciplines
• Build reports, roadmaps, program wikis, and mechanisms for effective product/program delivery using basic programming (HTML, Python) skills
• Earn trust and deliver with diverse teams such as design engineering, construction, planning, procurement, environmental and real estate teams to ensure delivery under tight timelines
• Manage stakeholders and provide weekly reporting on key project risks & issues at senior management, director and vice president level

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
• Experience developing operational processes and technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
• Technical and commercial experience enabling generation and transmission projects directly co-located to mission critical customer load
