Sr. Technical Program Manager, New Product Introduction, Powerwall

About the role

The Sr. NPI Technical Program Manager will support Engineering prototype A and B build phases, leading C and D build phases, and will lead and mentor their direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Supports Engineering prototype A and B build phases (operations support and coordination, manage validation trial requests, ramp planning)
• Leading C and D build phases (core team leadership, program schedule, build plan, materials coordination, build execution, allocation management, issue tracking)
• Leading, guiding, and mentoring junior team members
• Manage the cross-functional team to ensure successful launches of new products into the Gigafactory Nevada location
• Lead build core team meetings to coordinate all aspects of prototype builds, set build plans and evaluate constraints
• Drive material readiness with supply chain and material planning teams
• Provide direction to project engineers for priorities and trial requirements; Own product roadmaps
• Perform cost analyses to reduce product cost and manage inventory
• Aid in the development and roll-out of NPI structure and processes
• Coordinate with process and quality engineers to support new product roll outs

Requirements

Minimum 6 years experience in mix of engineering and Project Management fields with evidence of exceptional ability managing multiple complex programs/projects simultaneously

Experience in R&D/Production/Manufacturing environment (semi-automated preferred)

Executive level communication skills, both verbal and written to both technical and non-technical team members

Works well under pressure and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously; Ability to adapt to changes quickly

Must have command of English Language, both written and verbal

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
