About the role

We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead and scale our workforce planning programs. You'll partner with engineering, finance, HR, and business leaders to build data-driven frameworks that ensure we have the right people, skills, and capacity to meet current and future business needs.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end workforce planning process, including headcount forecasting, capacity modeling, and resource allocation across engineering and operations teams
  • Build and maintain workforce planning models that translate business goals into staffing requirements, timelines, and hiring plans
  • Partner with finance and HR to align workforce plans with budget cycles, organizational design, and talent acquisition strategies
  • Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide leadership with visibility into workforce supply/demand gaps, attrition trends, and hiring pipeline health
  • Drive scenario planning exercises to assess the impact of business changes (new launches, re-orgs, market shifts) on workforce needs
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to talent shortages, skill gaps, and over/under-staffing
  • Establish standardized processes and tools for workforce planning across multiple teams or business units
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment between recruiting, compensation, L&D, and engineering leadership
  • Track and report on key workforce metrics: time-to-fill, attrition rate, contractor-to-FTE ratios, ramp time, and utilization

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Pay

  • USA, VA, Herndon: 148,700.00 - 201,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Seattle: 148,700.00 - 201,200.00 USD annually
