Key job responsibilities

  • Apply technical knowledge and hands-on creation in AWS's Manufacturing sites to develop world-class robotic solutions for maximum impact to our customers.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant safety regulations for use of robotic equipment in close proximity to workers.
  • Design or provide input to part design to create the fixtures and equipment for robotic and semi-automated systems to aid in manufacturing at lowest cost and shortest cycle time.
  • Develop systems and metrics to monitor progress and highlight opportunities of improvement in cost, cycle time, OEE.
  • Train engineering and operations teams on new processes and techniques.
  • Conduct Kaizen activities for continuous improvement of cost and cycle time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to gain knowledge and improve product design, processes, and quality.
  • Work with upstream vendors and downstream customers to optimize the entire value stream and put together joint processes that will lead better cost and cycle time.
  • Excellent communicator with an ability to concisely and precisely convey information to executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Needs to be an evangelist for teaching Automation to the organization.
  • Able to multitask on several concurrent projects of medium to high complexity.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
