Sr. Tax Associate
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Prepare, review, and coordinate federal, state, and local tax filings and supporting schedules. Support consolidated federal corporate income tax returns (1120/5471/8858), state income/franchise tax returns, sales and use tax filings, annual reports, and Secretary of State filings.
Cook up estimated tax payments, extensions, and compliance-related calculations. Assist with tax provision activities and ASC 740 reporting requirements. Process fixed asset tax reporting, depreciation schedules, property tax filings, and unclaimed property reporting. Research and analyze tax issues to ensure compliance and support business decisions. Maintain and improve tax documentation, procedures, and internal controls.
Tax Planning & Strategic Support
Afford the opportunity to assist with tax planning projects, modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis. Evaluate tax impacts related to operational, financial, and organizational changes. Research emerging tax laws and regulatory developments. Partner with Finance, Legal, and external advisors on special projects and planning initiatives. Support analysis related to cross-border and international tax considerations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external tax advisors. Coordinate information gathering for special projects such as transfer pricing, R&D credits, and cost segregation studies. Provide informal mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members. Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
More time in-office for onboarding/training and/or any special projects, may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Active CPA license
- 3-6 years of tax experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry
- Experience with corporate tax compliance and tax provision (ASC 740)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to international tax concepts or cross-border operations
- Experience with tax planning, modeling, or forecasting
- Process improvement, automation, or systems implementation experience
- Financial modeling and advanced spreadsheet development skills

Salary Range
$91,500 - $123,500 + benefits
