Sr. Systems Network Engineer
Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration, and intelligence mission support services to meet customers’ demanding challenges. Capabilities include cyber space operations, cyber defense and resiliency, vulnerability research, technical surveillance, data intelligence, lifecycle mission enablement, and software modernization. Markets served: intelligence community, defense, civil, and commercial.
Experience Level: Senior (Level 3) – minimum 10 years experience. Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph capability. Location: National Capital Region (NCR) or San Antonio, TX. U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Kubernetes-based infrastructure
- Lead network architecture and security implementations
- Optimize system performance and resource utilization
- Implement advanced monitoring and observability solutions
- Design disaster recovery and high availability solutions
- Lead Infrastructure as Code implementations
- Troubleshoot complex system and network issues
- Mentor junior engineers
- Support security assessments and RMF activities
- Lead infrastructure-related technical discussions
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of system/network engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field (or equivalent substitution)
- Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies
- Deep understanding of network protocols, routing, and security
- Experience designing multi-cloud infrastructure solutions
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
- Understanding of DoD security requirements and RMF
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
Pay
Salary range: $122,000 – $253,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
