Employment Type: Temporary, approximately 4 months (through December 2026)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $47.07 – $58.85 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and qualifications
About the role
Support system development, integration, verification, and sustaining engineering activities for complex electromechanical devices.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain system requirements and documentation using tools such as Helix or Jama
- Design and build test fixtures for board and subsystem validation
- Perform system integration testing and troubleshoot hardware/software/firmware interactions
- Develop system test protocols, test plans, and reports supporting verification and validation
- Manage engineering change orders and lifecycle updates through digital platforms
- Support risk management activities, including hazard analysis and FMEA updates
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, mechanical, quality, and regulatory teams to resolve system-level issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience, ideally within the medical device industry
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with complex electromechanical systems
- Experience with requirements management tools such as Helix or Jama
- Solid understanding of system verification and validation
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as 60601-1, 60601-2, and 60601-1-6 preferred
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline and analytical problem-solving abilities
