About the role
Position Summary
The Sr. Planner, Supply Response will oversee the troubleshooting, expediting, escalation and resolution of non-routine orders (similar to a Situation Room). Inclusive in this category are orders involving critical raw materials, revisions or reformulations, and new business or expedited commercialization. Interacting with various cross-functional teams, this position will serve as a Planning "Situation Room", working to resolve short-term issues that are delaying the fulfillment of a customer order, which ideally, would result in longer term efficiencies and improved order lead times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the link between the Production Planning and Inbound Planning teams in servicing high visibility orders requiring critical raw materials and accelerated production.
- Align with the Business Units on projects approaching commercialization and first production.
- Develop Supply strategy to meet the increased short-term demand of select key customers.
- Maintain and update Master Data for the purpose of realizing efficiencies in Planning.
- Foster a collaborative environment to enhance cross-functional communication and synergy among areas.
- Function as the link between the individual plants' Planning teams when it is necessary to expedite the production and delivery of STOs, thus increasing the speed of response to customer demand.
- Ensure the S&OP function is being supplied with timely and accurate demand data and, similarly, ensure the Production Planning and Inbound Planning teams are acting on information and data supplied by the S&OP team.
About You
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma / GED required. College education preferred. 5 -7 years' experience in Production Planning and/or Production Scheduling within a manufacturing environment. Experience within food manufacturing strongly preferred. Experience and proficiency working with an ERP system is essential. Experience with SAP is preferred. Experience interacting cross-functionally with both Supply Chain entities as well as Product Development and Procurement. Must have an in-depth knowledge of the Order-to-Payment side of the business and at least a familiarity of the general functioning of the Brief-to-Contract side of the business.

- Requires excellent communication skills to effectively exchange and request information from multiple departments within the organization.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) is a must.
- Must be a self-motivator with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through on projects.
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality of formulas and processes.
