About the role

Amazon’s North America (NA) Supply Chain team is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to ideate, implement, and create innovative supply chain products and solutions that will create seamless flow of packages across Amazon’s supply chain. This high-impact role influences one of the highest visibility areas of NA Stores, focusing on designing, evaluating, and implementing the US storage and distribution network. The role involves incubating and executing innovative supply chain management concepts to improve and enhance the Amazon fulfillment network, driving the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, skilled in data-driven decision-making, comfortable navigating systems, and self-directive in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

  • Build mechanisms and define metrics to continuously evaluate and improve inbound and outbound connectivity of the storage and distribution network.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Research Scientists, Operations, and Finance to evaluate different connectivity strategies.
  • Identify process gaps through deep dives into metrics and make operational improvements (e.g., automation, self-service).
  • Conduct independent research to identify supply chain inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and influence partner teams to prioritize and execute.
  • Work with Operations and support teams on execution-related challenges.
  • Perform independent data analysis to drive partner teams and make recommendations about the network.
  • Review requirements, designs, and strategy documents.
  • Deep dive technical challenges with developers, product managers, or TPM/TPM partners across internal technical organizations.
  • Compose whitepapers ("hold the pen") for senior leadership reviews to define strategy.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.

About the team

The NA Supply Chain team encompasses capacity planning, S&OP, labor planning, execution support, and internal analytics as business owners for the inbound network. Within NASC, the Supply Chain Execution and Network Evolution (SCENE) team focuses on network design, large-scale network transformation initiatives, new network and building launches, and other responsibilities. The team includes a mix of TPMs, product managers, and supply chain leaders driving new network ideas, plans, and implementations.

Pay

  • USA, NY, New York: $126,900.00 - $181,400.00 USD annually
  • USA, TN, Nashville: $103,900.00 - $148,400.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Austin: $115,400.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Houston: $115,400.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Bellevue: $115,400.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
