Job Summary
The Sr Supply Chain & Logistics Analyst will become a true, trusted partner for senior management and executive leadership, by consistently delivering high-quality business insights, analytics, data visualization and actionable recommendations. This role will also play a large part in the ongoing continuous improvement initiatives focused on process development and business simplification.
Job Responsibilities
- Create and maintain visual data dashboards, define data logic, & key performance indicators.
- Create and maintain data warehouses in partnership with IT to ensure we have a single source of data.
- Determine current and future data requirements, identify gaps, and propose solutions.
- Train user on basics of KPI reports created.
- Manage measurement systems for data capture and reporting, utilizing programs such as PowerBI & Business Objects.
- Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements through automation/visualization and other tools.
- Create PowerBI dashboards and reports that will be utilized by teams to drive improvement and project completion.
- Automation of recurring metrics and dashboards utilizing data visualization (PowerBI) through data updates from Snowflake, SQL server databases, etc.
- DBR, MBR, QBR and Performance reviews (KPIs etc.).
- Build a body of knowledge that encompasses supply chain, logistics, and strategy performance.
- Proactively establish cross-functional relationships with key internal customers and counterparts in supply planning, marketing, sales, logistics, transportation, accounting, and other departments.
- Standardize reporting for distribution centers for North America.
- Create and maintain inventory level reports for distribution centers.
- Create and maintain reports to review and verify invoices from logistics service providers for both Freight and distribution centers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- 4-6 years’ experience in an analytics role in the Supply chain/Logistics industry required.
- Experience in the analysis of large data sets to develop insights and learnings (data mining) required.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills with understanding of statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations.
- Prior experience utilizing platforms such as ERP system(s), TMS, and WMS required.
- Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation.
- Experienced in automation and data visualization tools – PowerBI.
- Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Aptitude and willingness with learning new systems and tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move safely throughout all areas of the buildings, including the office and floor as needed, with or without accommodation.
- Able to stand and/or sit for a prolonged period.
- Work in an office environment using a computer for extended periods of time.
- Domestic and International travel may be required up to ~5%.
