Responsibilities

  • Work on a variety of projects related to Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, colocations, etc.
  • Perform various aspects of structural engineering assignments, increasing the depth and breadth of familiarity with design methods and tools.
  • Contribute to, work with a diverse team of engineers and designers on various size capital projects.
  • Liaise with other internal professionals and design departments for project delivery and coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices both domestically and internationally.
  • Grow technically and professionally as you gain more experience and expand your leadership role within the organization.
  • Perform a variety of analysis.
  • Create computer models for structures.
  • Perform calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assist with schedules, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states
  • Knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD
  • Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry relevant design code and standards
  • Knowledge and application of Building Codes
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite software including MS Teams for remote coordination
  • Ability for travel to various client’s sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel)

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Engineering
  • Experience with industrial metals projects including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $132,900.00 to $182,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Flexible work arrangements are offered, including a hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
