Sr. Strategy & Operations Manager, Postmates

About The Role

Postmates is seeking a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager to drive profitable growth through strategic projects. Operating as an agile startup within the Uber ecosystem, this role requires an adaptable operator with a blend of strategic thinking, business acumen, and entrepreneurial spirit.

What You'll Do

• Observe & Strategize: Focus on consumer behaviors, platform trends, and business objectives. Identify high-impact opportunities in a competitive market.
• Collaborate & Influence: Work with cross-functional teams to drive business forward. Partner with Finance for forecasting, with Eater Operations for pricing, promotions, and memberships, and with Commercial teams to maximize restaurant partner value.
• Ideate & Scale: Develop innovative strategies for complex problems without clear playbooks. Test and iterate rapidly within our flexible structure. Define OKRs, build robust business cases, and quantify projects that drive cross-platform value.
• Advocate: Develop presentations, reports, and analyses to shape strategy and execution. Report to senior leadership on critical workstreams and proactively flag sensitivities and market shifts.
• Operationalize Projects: Build, launch, run, and scale operational solutions that drive trial, engagement, and retention. Ensure project outcomes, conduct post-analyses, and maintain high velocity of execution.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Fluency with data analytics, statistical methods, and SQL proficiency

• Critical and structured thinking, with a natural curiosity and confidence to seek answers and propose solutions
• Natural collaborator, able to influence senior and external stakeholders
• Exceptional communicator, able to clearly articulate complex concepts
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional stakeholders and leading complex operational projects
• Strong project management skills, comfortable working independently
• Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, with a bias for impact and action
• Experience with AI tools and techniques, including agentic AI
• Prior experience in consulting, strategy, project, or operations management

Pay & Benefits

The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 - USD $145,000 per year. Eligible for Uber's bonus program and may be offered equity and other compensation. Full-time employees are eligible for a 401(k) plan. Employees are eligible for various benefits. Offices remain key to collaboration and Uber's culture. Employees must spend at least 50% of their time in-office, except for roles requiring full-time in-office presence.
