About The Role

MiniMed is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Business Services to support the organization's sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and procurement transformation initiatives across a broad portfolio of indirect spend. This is an individual contributor role with significant stakeholder influence and no direct people-management responsibility. This individual will play a critical role in driving business value through strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, contract execution, and stakeholder partnership across Business Services categories including Corporate Services (Finance, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Subscriptions) and Non-Technology Professional Services (Consulting, Training & Learning, Research & Advisory Services, Translation & Localization Services, and other specialized professional/business support services categories).

This is a highly visible, cross-functional role requiring a sourcing professional who can independently lead complex initiatives while effectively managing a significant volume of day-to-day sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and stakeholder support activities. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted partner to Senior Sourcing Manager – Business Services and business leaders, helping execute category strategies, support organizational priorities, and drive procurement excellence. In addition to supporting ongoing business operations, this individual will play a key role in supporting MiniMed's Transition Services Agreement (TSA) exit activities and supplier transitions, helping establish the supplier, contracting, and service foundations necessary for a successful standalone organization.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong business acumen, exercises sound judgment, and can seamlessly shift between strategic projects and urgent operational needs while maintaining exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement. This role reports to the Senior Sourcing Manager – Business Services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex RFP, RFQ, and supplier selection processes, driving value, cost optimization, service improvements, innovation, and risk mitigation.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts, statements of work, amendments, renewals, and other commercial agreements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders by providing supplier recommendations, market intelligence, pricing benchmarks, and commercial contracting guidance.
  • Independently manage a high volume of concurrent sourcing projects, contract negotiations, supplier engagements, and business requests while supporting Senior Sourcing Managers in executing category strategies and procurement objectives.
  • Balance strategic, high-priority initiatives with day-to-day sourcing and contracting activities while meeting aggressive timelines and evolving business needs.
  • Support TSA exit initiatives by identifying, sourcing, negotiating, and onboarding replacement suppliers and services required to support MiniMed's standalone operating model.
  • Lead sourcing and contracting activities associated with supplier transitions, ensuring continuity of service, effective risk management, and timely execution of replacement agreements.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Communications, Marketing, HR, PMO, Quality, Compliance, and business stakeholders to support contract lifecycle management and supplier onboarding.
  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with applicable corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and supplier governance standards.
  • Proactively manage supplier performance, contract renewals, commercial risk assessments, and business continuity considerations.
  • Monitor industry trends, supplier capabilities, and market conditions to identify opportunities for value creation and process improvement.
