About the Role
As a Sr Sterile Processing Tech at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will be a vital direct care professional responsible for the meticulous decontamination, assembly, preparation, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This role demands adherence to rigorous infection control policies and manufacturer recommendations to support all ORs and clinics, ensuring sterile instruments and equipment for a wide range of surgical needs across a diverse patient population, from infancy to geriatric.
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation of infection control policies.
- Decontaminate surgical instruments, power equipment, and other medical devices.
- Appropriately use manual disinfectants and follow manufacturer recommendations.
- Function as a resource regarding decontamination practices.
- Utilize various methods of high/low temperature sterilization and disinfection.
- Maintain stringent quality control and biological monitoring systems.
- Coordinate sterilizing schedules to efficiently meet instrumentation needs.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Prepare and distribute case carts.
- Manage computer systems for instrument tracking, supply pick lists, and stock returns.
- Communicate implant re-order needs and liaise with vendors for loaner/consignment trays.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Eighteen (18) months of surgical instrument technician experience.
- Certification as CRCST or CSPDT.

Pay
$19.49 - $27.52 per hour.
